A SHARED JOURNEY
Your Family’s Soft Landing in Egypt
At Kompass, we believe that when a child joins our school, the whole family joins our community. We provide the emotional and practical anchor you need to thrive in Cairo and Somabay.
The First-Time Parent Experience
Transition with Tenderness
The first day of school is a milestone for the parent as much as the child. We honor this through Staggered Transitions—allowing children to stay for shorter periods initially, gradually building their confidence and sense of safety. You are never rushed; we move at the speed of your child’s comfort.
The ‘Seen’ Parent
We replace ‘drop-off anxiety’ with Active Partnership. Through our digital platforms and weekly coffee mornings, you receive intimate updates on your child’s social milestones, language breakthroughs, and daily joys. You are always part of the conversation.
Moving Cultures, Finding Home
Cultural Anchoring
Relocating families face the challenge of ‘Third Culture’ identity. We provide a space where being trilingual is the norm, helping children integrate their past experiences with their new life in Egypt.
The Kompass Network
Our parent community acts as a live resource. Need to find a doctor, a hobby group, or the best hidden gems in Cairo? Our ‘Expat Buddies’ and local families are here to guide you.
Global Curriculum
Using the IPC and IMYC ensures that if your journey takes you beyond Egypt in the future, your child’s education remains portable, recognized, and world-class.

Essential Insights for Families
Many of our families do not speak all three languages at home. Our ‘Slow Pedagogy’ uses total immersion in the classroom, meaning children pick up languages through context, song, and play—never through forced memorization.
It is the practice of allowing children to deeply explore topics without the rush of a rigid timetable. This reduces cortisol (stress) and increases dopamine (pleasure), leading to better long-term memory.
Relocation doesn’t always follow a school calendar. We offer mid-term admissions for international families, providing a dedicated ‘Welcome Plan’ to help your child catch up socially and linguistically.
